Before last year's financial crisis, food banks had reported increasing shortages, forcing them to ration supplies, distribute supplies reserved for disaster relief and in some instances the food bank closes it doors all together. What I find interesting is eventhough food stamp enrollment has increased more than 30 percent over the last two years in New York City, food pantries and soup kitchens often give those who do not receive food stamps, either because they are illegal immigrants or because they failed to finish the necessary paperwork in order to receive benefits according to City Room.
But I am wondering in there attempt to feed people, what will be done with the rent situation that is at an alarming rate of corruption throughout New York City. As more people face job loss and is stripped of they dignity, all they can offer is food a dog wouldn't eat. There has been $12.5 million given to make sure food banks in New York continue to help New Yorkers. But what about being able to take a shower and having clean clothes, what about all the other factors that a human being needs to be motivated and well. - and if you think all of that money is going to serve the hungry you're crazy.
Just check out this little story about The United Homeless Organization fraud.

Questioning Thoughts
As the declaration for swine flu emergency hits New York I wonder why,? If you travel around New York you really don't see any signs of this, I watched some online news oulets like NY1 and so far there hasn't been strong feedback or surge to get the vaccination.
Could this be the reason for putting an alert in such a way that would give anyone in the medical field in some capacity to give out the vaccine without any legal backlash, I mean the drug companies already have absolute immunity against anything going wrong.
I have a friend who has very strong allergies and I can only wonder, a vaccine like that would be very dangerous for someone withtis problem, Yet, professionals are willing to risk it all because you can't sue anyone if you become disabled because of it. I find the chain of events very concerning and alarming.
How far does the rabbit hole go, were it stops nobody knows.

Motivation
I am trying to stay motivated, In a city that is so full of rejection it sometimes can be overwelming. I write news articles for several publications around the web and sometimes I get inspired by the comments I get, It's a funny thing but I find it stimulating. I knew it was a challenge living in this city, It was no choice of mine, let me tell you I prefer the southern enviornment then this city but do to the recession this are not as grand as I want them but I think I am going through a test of motivation.
When you have no one to cheer you on and your at the level where if you can't inspire yourself or motivate yourself progress could never be possible. What do you do? I find myself enjoying the idea of being here but it has been not so inspiring, I am surprised at the level of aw, in this city it's floored me. I think the greatest test is if you can actually accomplish what you set out to do and that is were I am right now. I am trying to stop living in my head and live for real.
It is much easier to say then do.
